Tips for Business Travelers

Tips for Business Travelers

As more companies make work trips more common, it is essential that business travel is a smooth journey for your employees.

Here are some tips for business travel:

Join a travel program

Specially useful for frequent travelers, travel programs help your employees skip the lines and enjoy benefits like priority boarding or going through TSA. Don’t forget about the miles! A travel program will help your employees rack up miles to use in future trips and the more you fly with one company, the faster you will receive bigger rewards.

Passport Tips

Traveling outside the country? Make sure your employees’ passport is up to date. Since passports today are in high demand routine processing takes four-to-six weeks or longer.

If you still have valid visas, keep both your old and new passport when you travel. This way, your employees won’t have to reapply for the visa or run into any problems at customs.

Packing and Airplane Tips

Being prepared for anything is better than not being prepared at all. When packing make sure you keep these tips in mind,

  • Use the flight time to relax. Pushing yourself into working at 35,000 feet will only add more stress to your schedule, so sit back and relax. If you do end up needing Wi-Fi, check with your airline before you travel.
  • More often than not, luggage gets lost when traveling. Carry a spare change of clothes in your carry-on luggage as backup plan.
  • Pack your own silk sheet and comfy pillow. Most of the time if the airplane pillows and blanket don’t come in a plastic bag, they probably haven’t been washed in a while.

Next time you travel, keep in mind these tips because the way you prepare for your trip can make it or break it. At Areas Travel, we go above and beyond to take care of every detail of your trip, from A to Z, so you don’t’ have to worry about anything.
